Typed Word takes several measures to ensure the privacy of our clients is protected. We are committed to providing and maintaining the highest confidentiality and security standards.
Typed Word is compliant with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as well as the Guidelines on Privacy in the Private Health Sector issued by the Federal Privacy Commissioner under the National Health Act 1953 (Cth). These are available to view at www.privacy.gov.au
All employees and/or subcontractors of Typed Word sign confidentiality agreements before the commencement of work, and this agreement is in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We can also provide a separate confidentiality agreement if you have specific requirements.
Medical records require additional safeguards to protect the sensitive and personal nature of the information they contain. Typed Word recognises the importance of privacy to medical/psychological clients, and ensures the upmost security of information for these clients. Privacy is considered a key element of our service delivery, and is monitored closely.
Typed Word conforms with university contractor agreements, and we are happy to sign confidentiality agreements specific to individual universities and other research bodies.
File Retention Period and Purging
Your audio files and completed transcripts are stored as required by you, after which point the files are deleted from our systems.
